This Privacy Policy explains how Levi Dan UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Meal Plan Club mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). We keep data collection to what we need to run the app well, and we never sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and basic profile details (such as a display name). Authentication is handled by our sign-in provider on our behalf.

Content you create

We store the content you add to the app — recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, notes, cooking sessions, and any images you generate or upload — so we can sync it across your devices and to anyone you cook with.

Usage & device data

To keep the app reliable we may collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, app version, and diagnostic logs (for example, crash reports). This data is used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

• To provide, sync, and back up your recipes and plans.
• To enable real-time, multi-person cooking sessions.
• To power optional AI features (e.g. recipe generation and assistance).
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
• To respond to your support requests.

3. Sharing & service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (“processors”) that help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it. These may include:

• Cloud hosting and our real-time database provider (app data sync).
• Our authentication provider (account sign-in).
• AI providers that process prompts to generate recipes, text, or images.
• Diagnostics and crash-reporting tools.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

4. Cooking together

When you invite others to a live cooking session or share a recipe, the content you share and your activity within that session (such as which steps you check off) are visible to the other participants. Only share with people you trust.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@levidan.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → account settings), or by emailing privacy@levidan.com. Deleting your account removes your recipes, plans, and profile from our systems.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues we discover.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
